Ephrata Community Hospital has been serving residents of northern Lancaster County for over 60 years. Ephrata Community Hospital is a non-profit health services organization providing preventative services, primary care, diagnostic services, acute care, and rehabilitation services to the residents of Northern Lancaster County and surrounding communities. ECH is licensed to accommodate 138 patients in our acute care facility.  In addition, the organization consists of a  17 practice medical group, home care, durable medical equipment, and 7 outpatient centers for health.

Chief Information Officer (CIO)

 

Job Description

 

 

Responsible for the information management functions through the organization, including evaluation, contract negotiation, budget, acquisitions, installation, implementation, and support. This position reports directly to the CFO and provides technology vision and leadership for the development, implementation, and operation of IT initiatives that serve to enable the sustain the growth of the organization.

 

 

Requirements:

 Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field. 8+ years recent hospital IT management experience at senior levels. Hospital experience and minimum of 5 years successful leadership experience. Continuing Education: Demonstrates ongoing commitment to growth by remaining current with available technology, vendor products, and off-the-shelf software. Remains current with health care trends and organizations presence in the market place. Familiarity with Siemens (Unity) Platforms, CERNER, McKesson, Softmed, and C & S preferred. In depth knowledge of computer technologies and applications within a hospital system. Outstanding record of leadership in hospital IT roles, encompassing strategic planning, complex organizational structures, and technical project management. Demonstrated ability to work with budgetary guidelines and support corporate goals and objectives. Strong operational skills (inc. financial analysis, reporting) exceptional interpersonal, organizational, communicate, negotiation skills required.
