Clinical Project Manager (CPM), Horizon Clinicals

Essential Functions (Responsibilities):
The Clinical Program Manager will be responsible for the successful end-to-end implementation of the full suite of Horizon Clinical Applications. The program manager will be accountable for the on time, on budget project completion while ensuring high client satisfaction and achieving measurable benefits realization. They will also be instrumental in participating in the development and refinement of implementation tools and methodologies. The CPM manages personnel who design, build, test, train and deploy clinical software including both business process design as well as technical components. Position requires frequent interaction with Sales, Customers, outside vendors and suppliers, and other cross-functional team members. Primary responsibilities include:
? Total ownership and management of Clinical Information Systems implementation process including order review, project planning, resource scheduling and coordination, system implementation, system integration and system start-up and turnover.
? Required to manage multiple concurrent clinical projects.
? Managing internal and external project interfaces at multiple organizational levels.
? Responsible for tracking project progress and ensuring accuracy of project information in Focus weekly and reconciling that information with SAP on a monthly basis.
? Active management of customer satisfaction and customer quality requirements and issues.
? Responsible for communication on project status and issues both internally and externally and ensures the involvement of the clients key decision makers (including executive levels) as necessary during implementation
? Use of computer based project management tools and software to direct Horizon Clinicals projects
? Assure compliance and adherence with customer guidelines and Horizon Clinicals policies and procedures.
? Coordinate with Enterprise Program/Project Manager when applicable to ensure seamless delivery of all McKesson MIS initiatives.

Qualifications/Requirements:
? BS in Technical discipline or equivalent business experience in a related field
? Minimum 2 to 3 years or project management experience working with external customers
? Proficiency in clinical workflow with previous Clinical Information Systems experience
? Experience with and/or knowledge of Horizon Clinicals product lines
? Proven leadership and issue resolution abilities
? Demonstrated success in working with customers, vendors, and leading cross-functional teams
? Strong process orientation, problem solving & troubleshooting skills, and a firm commitment to quality
? Excellent communication skills - ability to interface and influence at multiple organization levels
? Strong interpersonal skills with a high degree of self-motivation and ability to work independently
? Willingness to travel, including overnight stays (70%)

Desired:
? 7+ years project management in healthcare software implementations
? IT Consulting and/or clinical experience desirable
? Green/Black Belt Certification or familiarity w/Six Sigma quality principles
? Previous Information Technology consulting or project implementation experience.
? Masters degree in MIS, Business Administration or a related field. Appropriate experience can be substituted.
? Project Management Professional Certification ? PMI Institute or equivalent
