DIRECTOR, PATIENT ACCESS

Adept at planning, facilitating and directing patient access and cashier functions, the selected candidate will play an important role in helping us achieve the high level of accuracy and quality service RGH is known for. Specific tasks include developing performance goals for Lab POS, ED, Pre-Admission/Registration, Admitting, Verification and other areas of responsibility and evaluating productivity, assisting communications and interactions with other departments and physicians' offices; monitoring internal safeguards for cash collections; ensuing regulatory compliance. You will also be expected to train, schedule, supervise and evaluate approximately 55 staff members, and ensure that department budget goals are met.

Preferred candidates will have accreditation as an admitting manager and a Bachelor's degree. Minimum requirements include 3-5 years' admissions, hospital/medical billing and staff supervisory experience; familiarity with automated systems; ability to handle high pressure situations in a rapidly changing work setting.
