Responsible for analyzing, reporting and developing recommendations on data related to multiple, varied operational metrics.

 

Essential duties include but are not limited to: Creates and maintains databases to track operational performance Analyzes data and summarizes performance using summary statistical procedures Develops and analyzes operational performance reports (e.g., for claims data, provider data, utilization data) and provides notations of performance deviations and anomalies Creates and publishes periodic reports, makes necessary recommendations; Develops ad hoc reports as needed May require taking operational issue and devising best way to develop appropriate diagnostic and/or tracking data that will translate business requirements into usable decision support tools. Data Analyst II level will also be responsible for mentoring more junior members of the team.

 



BS/BA, or equivalent combination of education and experience, and 3-5 years related operational and/or data analysis experience required. Experience in database structures, standard query and reporting tools, and statistical software required (such as SQL, SAS, Cognos, Business Objects, and ProClarity). Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, along with good written communication skills required. Healthcare experience strongly preferred.
