Provide data infrastructure and data architect support to business analysts, developers and users of data. Responsible for coordinating, administering and supporting activities related to data planning, data recovery and development. Establish policies and procedures for data security, maintenance and utilization in the development, testing, training and production environment across all platforms.

???????? Establishes consistent data element definitions.

???????? Ensures data dictionaries are maintained across multiple database environments.

???????? Defines metadata standards and environment to support metadata collection.

???????? Analyzes and designs models, logical databases and relational data base

???????? definitions.

???????? Provides data element naming.

???????? Performs data modeling studies and develops detailed models.

???????? Provides in-depth consulting to client and IT re: information flow and content issues.

???????? Support functional areas re: database designs, structure, access knowledge, and physical design.

???????? Provides performance analysis support and recommendations.

???????? Reviews and evaluates computer system utilization related to responsiveness, processing, capacity and reliability.

???????? Responsible for troubleshooting and resolving issues related to system performance and data integrity.

???????? Coordinates data management activities, direction and strategies with the corporate data architecture group to ensure?consistency exists across SBUs and all platforms.

??????? Provides communications and liaison support to all other SBU architects through the UnitedHealth Group data? architect group.

???????? Participates in the development and maintenance of corporate data architecture, data management standards and conventions, data dictionaries and data element naming standards for multiple computing environments.

Qualifications:

???????Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience or an Associate's Degree plus advanced training in?? data?management practices and data modeling techniques.

?????? 3 to 5 years experience in relational database systems support with strong understanding of all data management techniques.

???????2 to 5 years experience in data administration on various platforms.

???????Supervision or technical lead experience.

???????Technical data management and systems tools experience.

???????Prototyping and benchmarking experience.

???????Excellent oral, written and communication skills.

???????Leadership skills.

???????Ability to provide one-on-one instruction.

???????Flexible, logical and creative solution solving ability.

???????Research capabilities.

???????Good understanding of the business, data requirement needs and data relationships.
