This position will manage day-to-day operations of the medical record department functions to ensure medical record services are provided according to internal and external requirements or regulations. Leads the activities  of department staff including: Coordinator, Medical Record, Coding, transcription and Tumor Registrar.  Responsibilities include personnel staffing, supplies and equipment, budgetary planning and monitoring and improving performance of all department functions. Candidates should at a minimum possess an Associate Degree in Health Information Management and be Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), a Bachelors Degree in Health Information and be Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) is preferred Three to Five  years medical records experience in an acute care setting.  Candidates with 2 years management experience will be preferred.
