Requirements

 Min. 3-years experience in a supervisory or management position in a medical records dept.Responsible for all aspects of HIM including planning, organizing, guiding and implementing the smooth and timely transition of the organization from a paper to an Electronic Medical Record.Responsible for medical transcriptionrelease of informationrecord processing/filingretrieval systemsrecord completionregulatory compliance (HIPAA)record/data integrityrecord retention and electronic patient health informationhiring, evaluation, promotion, employee development, discipline and termination of employees.Developing departmental budget
