Healthcare Business Systems Analyst

 

The incumbent MUST come from a Healthcare / Managed Care (hospital)/ Insurance background.  You will NOT be considered if you do not meet this criteria.

The BSA should have the following experience:
Strong data analysis skills
Facility reimbursement experience
Ability to read contracts and figure out how to pay claims (experience as a claims examiner is desirable)
Clear understanding of ways insurance companies group the services into payable categories and also understands how hospitals bill for the services which they render to patients; DRG (diagnostic related groups), APC (ambulatory payment classification), and APG (ambulatory patient groups)
Experience with DRG Grouper software, specifically 3M Grouper is a plus
Experience with DRG Pricing methodologies is also a plus
Excellent written and oral communication skills are required.
