Working in our Research and Evaluation Dept, you will provide detailed, targeted analysis for each phase of our ongoing research projects. Specifically, you will participate in every facet of a project's lifecycle, including:

? Analysis -- you will analyze medical cost utilization by specialty physicians, hospitals and other providers based primarily on claims, pharmacy, and utilization data.

? Evaluation -- by utilizing financial tools and statistical analysis, you will evaluate provider performance.

? Application -- once you have evaluated the provider, you will develop recommendations based on your findings.

? Measurement -- on an ongoing basis, you will monitor the implementation and effectiveness of programs, providers, and interventions.

? Total quality management -- with the output of research having a direct impact on healthcare programs and policies, quality is naturally a critical focus. You'll help to develop "real-time" policies and procedures to ensure the accuracy of our measurements and analyses.

To qualify you must possess:Relevant BA/BS degree (Masters' degree preferred) (e.g. Statistics, Finance, Clinical or familiarity with statistics for data analysis)Demonstrated statistical/financial experience, preferably 3-5 years with some in a health care or insurance settingExperience managing large and/or complex data sets Excellent written and oral communication skillsPC based SAS or other statistical packageExperience using database applications, Excel, or similar spreadsheet softwareStrongly preferred, but not required: Mainframe experience with Focus or SQL
