Hospital Business Office Consultant

RESPONSIBILITIES:
? Provide consultative services to Patient Financial Services management to assist with the implementation of Horizon Business Folder.
? Provide guidance and assistance with the transformation from paper to electronic
? Determine application optimization within the department(s) and provide customer with best practice methodologies
? Perform policy and procedure development and review
? Conduct workflow reviews (including system workflow and department process workflow)
? Determine staffing requirements, job descriptions and competencies
? Maintain documentation covering each departmental implementation
? Conduct Pre-Live Assessments
? Assist with the creation of roll-out plans for each implementation
? Conduct Pre-Upgrade assessments
? Participate in Integrated Testing
? Provide go-live support
? Conduct post live assessments
? Assist with application training for personnel
? Provide product input to Product Marketing and Product Development groups using the information from previous and current installations. Provide written direction to these groups regarding product functionality that will improve the implementation process.

REQUIRED:
? Five years management experience in Patient Financial Services
? College degree or equivalent experience
? PC literate
? 80% Travel Required

DESIRABLE:
? Strong verbal and written communication skills, including excellent presentation skills
? Proven ability to understand and document processes and concepts
? Ability to problem solve
? Previous experience implementing financial systems in a business office environment
? Knowledge of the McKesson HIS system(s)

Territory Covered: USA/CanadaPosition Description

Plans, conducts, and directs the analysis of business problems to be solved with automated systems. Partners with users to identify, evaluate, and develop systems and procedures which are cost effective and meet user requirements. May plan and execute unit, integration, and acceptance testing; and creates specifications for systems to meet business requirements. Designs details of automated systems. May lead cross-functional linked teams to address business or systems issues.Minimum Requirements

6+ years experience in designing, building, and implementing business solutions using information technology. Significant experience in business analysis, requirements definition and deployment of business requirements to information systems.Education

4-year degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experiencePhysical Requirements
