Implement EMR Systems - Work With Doc's - Immediate Need

The primary responsibilities of the position will focus on promoting physician adoption of electronic systems in support of patient care and hospital department support involving IS initiatives. The incumbent will participate in and guide the design, development, testing, implementation and on-going maintenance of new and existing clinical applications, specifically the Computerized Provider Order Entry.

 

Implements, develops and maintains software and applications that support physicians and their staff in the use of electronic systems. Manages the project life cycle: defines end-user needs, writes requirement specifications, builds and tests applications, trains end-users on how to use applications, and writes documentation.

 

Pro-actively works closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers. Able to translate clinical requirements into application and technical specifications. Coordinates with other business and IT departments to ensure implementation, development and monitoring of software programs, applications and systems integration.

 

EDUCATION: BS or BA required. Preference given to those with a healthcare related degree or certificate.

 

EXPERIENCE: Experience supporting clinical software application solutions. Demonstrated ability to interact successfully with physicians utilizing excellent communication and analytical skills.

 

SKILLS/ABILITIES: Excellent analytical and communication skills (verbal and written) required. Positive interpersonal skills and customer support attitude; professional communication skills. Ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary environment required. Ability to teach/train others at all levels in basic and more complex systems. Report writing skills a plus. Must be self driven and handle multiple projects simultaneously. Experience with Meditech products preferred. Demonstrated leadership skills preferred.
