Intake Coordinator

GENEX, a premier managed care company is currently seeking Intake Coordinators for its Utilization Review department located in El Dorado Hills, CA.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES: Communicate with external and internal customers via phone, email, fax, etc. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal/external customers. Supports management staff by performing data entry, filing, answering incoming phone calls and maintaining daily logs. You will also be contacted for client specifics and Utilization Management staff questions/issues regarding various accounts.

 

REQUIREMENTS: High School diploma/GED required. Associate or Bachelor?s degree preferred. At least one year experience in the workers? compensation arena including utilization review and/or telephonic case management. Ideal candidate will be familiar with California Utilization Review regulations. Good interpersonal skills and phone etiquette.  Knowledge of medical terminology, CPT and ICD-9 coding preferred.

Excellent organizational skills. Detail oriented. Ability to prioritize and use resources available. Able to multi-task. Computer literacy required. Ability to work independently and/or in a team concept.
