MEDICAL SECRETARY/FRONT DESK PROFESSIONALS

Spherion - a top placement firm with local, national, and global opportunities available ? is currently seeking Medical Secretary/Front Desk professionals to work in the DC metro area. 

 

Required Experience:
Two years related office experience.  Previous experience in medical office setting preferred.
Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, excellent customer service skills, and good telephone etiquette. 
Computer skills, data-entry experience, and ability to type 45 WPM preferred. 
Knowledge of multi-line telephone systems, experience with computerized scheduling system preferred.
Familiarity with diverse word processing programs and skill strength in PC software preferred. 
Ability to organize and prioritize work. 
Knowledge of medical terminology helpful.

 

The ideal candidate will also have experience with: 
Contacting insurers/payors to verify insurance coverage & eligibility requirements of patients
Obtaining verbal and written authorization for medical treatment from appropriate sources
Verifying insurance information for accuracy and completeness (resolving discrepancies as needed).
