Manager - Medical Cost and Utilization Analysis

 

You are accountable for planning, organizing, leading and controlling the Medical Cost and Utilization Analysis area.

 

Responsibilities:

 
Design, development and implementation of medical cost, utilization, and financial analyses.
Your group supports corporate systems and data warehousing initiatives with development and evaluation of data requirements and report specifications.
Provide project leadership, resource planning, development opportunities and general oversight of the analytic staff on day-to-day basis.
Evaluate departmental operations and processes for opportunities to increase efficiency and quality.
Communicate departmental priorities, activities and status on key projects to management and department customers.



 

Position Qualifications:

 
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Public Health or related scientific research field/equivalent work experience (Master's Degree preferred).
Minimum 5-7 years experience conducting health services and financial research
Knowledge of data analysis applications (SAS and SQL).
Strong management and supervisory skills, especially decision making, team building, communication (oral and written), research project management, and interpersonal capabilities.
Managed care organization experience preferred.
Supervisory experience preferred
