Smart Document Solutions has an immediate need for qualified candidates for a Part-time Medical Records Release of Information Specialist to service a hospital facility in Binghamton, NY.

This position is customer service focused, responsible for attending to the front desk, answering phones, greeting patients, processing release of information requests, scanning medical records and general clerical duties.

This is a part-time, permanent position, Monday - Friday, day shift. Primary duties and responsibilities:
The Medical Records Release of Information Specialist will be the point of contact for the hospital medical records department for release of information requests.  The will be responsible for processing requests for medical records to include pulling charts, filing charts, scanning and copying records for patients, doctors offices, hospitals, attorneys, and insurance companies.


Experience and Education:
*A minimum of 1 years experience in medical records or medical office environment.*Minimum of 2 years in customer service experience.
