Medical Records Service Specialist - Team Lead

Smart Document Solutions is actively seeking qualified candidates for a Medical Records Service Specialist - Team Lead to cover clinics and hospitals in Middletown and Hartford, CT as well as Springfield, MA.  This position requires heavy travel.  As the oldest and largest firm in the medical records release of information industry, Smart Document Solutions delivers quality service to thousands of hospitals, clinics and group practices nationwide using the latest in medical record technology. 

Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssists Operation Director with training of Release of Information Specialists Handles multiple sites. Works with privileged information in a conscientious manner while releasing medical records in an efficient, effective, and accurate manner. Pulls and releases medical information in a high paced manner Provides coverage in the event of backlogs, illness, vacation, or leave of absence Scan medical records at assigned facilities as directed by Operations Director Pulls medical records and faxes correct information to doctor's offices Special projects and tasks as assigned by the Operations Director

 

Minimum Qualifications Must have strong computer software experience general working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel required Previous ROI experience preferred Previous supervisory experience Must be self motivated, a team player High School Diploma or GED Equivalent4 year degree in Health Information Management or related field preferred.
