Team Health has openings in their Billing Center in Plantation, Fl for Patient Account Representatives.

 

The Patient Account Representative is responsible for posting payments and rejections from all insurance carriers, researching canceled checks, filing secondary insurance, and researching accounts.

 

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

 Post payments, rejections and adjustments from patient statements, managed care, commercial carriers and government payers.File secondary insurance when a voucher states that a patient has secondary insurance.Research accounts when payment is inconsistent with the standard payment or when clarification of payment is needed.Maintain a personal work schedule that allows him/her to be at work regularly and dependably.Complete tasks accurately, maintaining quality and productivity standards.Report problems and issues to the assigned manager.Other duties as assigned by the manager.

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

 Mandatory overtime as directed by management.Computer literateAble to work in a fast paced environmentGood follow-up skillsOne year experience in payment posting in a medical billing environment.
