Benchmarking, reporting, and analysis solutions for better financial and clinical performance is what is most important to the company.  By accessing the largest clinical and operational comparative databases in the nation, the company?s client hospitals can accurately gauge their own performance and identify valid performance improvement opportunities.

 

Brief Description

 

This position is responsible for leading, conducting, and coordinating selected research and analytical projects for Clinical Informatics.  This person has significant responsibility for health services research projects, specifically those focused on comparative evaluations of quality of care, patient safety, cost of care, and other aspects of efficiency, effectiveness, and equity.  Projects will support Informatics, other business divisions, as well as the company?s members and clients.  This role also provides quality assurance review of data and reports generated by other analysts and may be responsible for management of personnel. This role serves as an internal expert in statistics and advanced research methodologies.

 
This position functions internally in collaboration with Product Management, Informatics IT, Data Warehouse team, and other Informatics stakeholders to ensure required deliverables are met. 
Collaboration with other internal divisions is also anticipated as well as work with external academic researchers, agencies, and organizations.
Develop appropriate performance review objectives; provide day-to-day coaching and conduct annual performance reviews.
Determine, organize, and prioritize projects.
Interfacing with CMO and VP of Quality
Present study finding to clients

 

Qualifications/Education
This role requires a minimum of 7 years experience in health services and/or clinical research. Experience analyzing data in hospital or healthcare system, managed care organization, consulting firm, or government agency preferred.
Advanced training in statistics, research design and qualititative methods.
Proficient with statistical and database management software- SAS and/or SPSS, Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Access and other Microsoft programs.
Expertise working with large databases preferred.
Proven leadership skills; PhD in health services, economics, statistics or epidemiology preferred; Clinical degree such as MD, DO or RN beneficial.
Ability to excel in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented, matrixed environment.
