Purchasing Systems Administrator

Spherion Professional Services is currently looking for an experienced Purchasing System Administrator for our client located here in the Puget Sound Area.  The ideal candidate will manage the Peoplesoft purchasing and e-pro modules and be responsible for system integrity, configuration, security, testing and training. This individual will exhibit a commitment to excellence, initiative, innovation, adaptability, and team work.

 

Responsibilities Include:

 

  1. Ensures the ongoing integrity and functionality of the purchasing and e-pro modules.

  2. Analyzes and interprets complex systems functionality and develops documentation in support of business needs.

  3. Develops training materials and conducts training classes for requisitioners and approvers.

  4. Consults with users, evaluates feedback and implements appropriate enhancements.

  5. Partners with Business Analyst to assess criticality of new releases and patches, makes recommendations for implementation and conducts integrated quality assurance testing with the functional and technical teams.

  6. Develops complex queries to analyze data and identify problems, opportunities, issues and trends.

  7. Works with PeopleSoft customer support as required to resolve system issues.

  8. Seeks out opportunities for process improvement or to gain efficiencies and takes lead role to implement.

  9. Maintains data integrity of purchasing and e-pro modules.

  10. Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications Include:

 

  1. Bachelor?s degree or equivalent experience.

  2. Four years integrated financial system experience with increasing responsibility.

  3. In-depth knowledge of procurement policies and processes.

  4. Understanding of general accounting functions including GL, AP, and fixed assets.

  5. Demonstrated collaborative problem solving skills including recommendation and implementation of improvements.

  6. Effective written and verbal communication skills.

  7. Strong analytical and documentation skills with attention to detail.

  8. Strong organization skills to prioritize and meet deadlines.

  9. Proficiency with data management tools, Excel, Word and other applications.

 10. Extensive experience working with complex systems to retrieve, analyze and synthesize data.

 

Additional Preferred Qualifications Include:

 

1. Experience in PeopleSoft or similar application.

2. Purchasing Management degree or certificate.
