RHIA or RHIT Director
Seeking Director for a large acute care hospital. The qualified candidate will be responsible for:
Planning and organizing the analysis, completion, filing and retrieval of inpatient and outpatient records in compliance with all federal, state and local regulators. Superivsing file preparation and maintenance including the master patient indexes and imaging/microfilming of records. Supervising the release of information function. Assisting the Director of the Medical Record Department in planning, directing, and coordination of departmental activities. Monitoring and reporting productivity and quality statistics. Assisting in selection of new staff and training of new employees on us of various systems to perform duties. Completeing performance appraisals. Preparing requests for supplies needed. Preparing and anyally reviewing Medical record Department policies and procedures. Conducting and recording minutes of monthly Department meetings. Acting as system administrator for chart locator/deficeincy system, including the following duties:
physician maintenance (add, change, delete), monitors and trouble shoot issues; and guides to
appropriate support for resolution, maintains system access and security functions.RHIA preferred RHIT required. BS degree in Health Information Management from an AHIMA accredited program or B.S. in a closely related Hospital/healthcare filed. Three years managerial experience in Medical Records/Health Information Management. Knowledge of information systems, and experience in project management.
