SENIOR ANALYST

 

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:


Reporting to the Manager of Health Plan Services, the Associate is responsible for working directly with clients and data vendors to standardize and process healthcare data into a web based data analysis tool (DART) product. This position will also support client projects that require data analysis and or special programming outside of the DART product on an as needed basis. This position is critical to serving our clients Healthcare reporting needs.

Interface with IT staff and data vendors to define required data formats and layouts
Work with internal Account Managers and directly with clients to determine DART reporting needs, address data quality issues, support data reconciliation.
Perform any client specific programming and analysis that is needed outside of the DART product
Convert external data vendor datasets into HDMS standard formats according to conversion standards using SAS or ETL (i.e., Informatica) tool
Track and load all incoming datasets
Perform validation of incoming data and processed data
Comply with all HDMS established standards and operating procedures
Investigate data validation and quality issues and develop approaches to correct or improve data
Perform system administration tasks, as required
Become proficient in the use of the DART product to support report generation as needed
Maintain data security in compliance with HIPAA Maintain data vendor and client documentation standards


SKILL OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:


Bachelors degree preferred
3-5 years experience in healthcare analysis
Experience importing and exporting data among various platforms
Strong SQL and SAS programming skills (e.g., SAS Base, SAS Macros)/Informatica skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Demonstrated ability to work within a team
Strong analytical and problem resolution skills
Strong organizational and detail oriented skills
Ability to achieve deadlines and to set and achieve goals
Ability to multi-task effectively and efficiently
Strong oral and written skills
