Position Purpose 

The Solution Designer?s purpose is to consult with customers, provide assistance in determining vision and strategy through business case development and architect compelling and pragmatic solution concepts leveraging their healthcare business process, NaviMedix enabling technology and customer knowledge. Solution Designers will serve as design project leaders and domain experts always focused on delivering valuable software applications intended to eliminate the administrative hassles native to the current healthcare system and satisfy our customers? value expectations.

 

Job Responsibilities 

The Solution Designer is a key member of the project team responsible for implementing healthcare e-commerce applications within a pre-defined work plan and rapid delivery methodology.  The Designer works closely with Project Analysts, Project Managers, Engineers and other various team members to deliver system integration services that are needed to facilitate web-based transaction processing between physician offices and their trading-partner networks. 

 

? Create prototypes, design workflow, and screen presentation for concept design discussions with both internal and external audiences.

? Consult with customers to determine appropriate design solution needs to meet the business case.

? Lead rapid, prototype-based, requirement gathering.

? Validate conceptual designs with the end user community

? Document and communicate requirements to internal and external teams.

? Develop and maintain product roadmap entries containing gathered requirement information necessary to develop, test and deploy features. Organize product priorities according to optimal release schedule.

? Oversee implementation process conducted by the Project Analysts including the requirements specification, conveyance and clarification to ensure that the approach meets the business case and gathered requirements.

? Assist in creating budgetary work estimates

? Leverage and generate reusable design standards to be utilized across Trading Partner implementations.

? Promote solution benefits to support implementation decisions.

? Solicit/Analyze feedback from end user community through focus groups, usability studies and surveys and craft solution enhancement recommendations

? Generate a subject matter expertise.

 

 

Requirements 

Bachelor?s Degree in a technical/business discipline.Consulting background as an analyst or senior analystKnowledge of managed care business transactions, including Member Eligibility and Benefits, Referral and Authorization management, Claim EDI, and Formulary/Pharmacy management.Minimum of four to six years? experience directly supporting the implementation of business-critical software applications and systems.Experience working with customers in rapid-based customer requirement gathering techniques and methods.Experience juggling multiple projects in a fast-paced environmentAbility to think in a creative, ?out-of-the-box? manner to come up with solutions.Strong business and technical writing skills.  Excellent presentation and communication skillsStrong leadership skills and initiative by working independently while effectively communicating with both external and internal clientsDemonstrable experience gathering and documenting business, functional, and non-functional requirements.Demonstrable experience building detailed functional specifications for use by both technical and non-technical readers.

 

In addition to the above requirements, specific skills in any of following areas are highly desirable:

 Consulting background as an analyst or senior analyst with a national firm.Experience working in a multi-trading partner e-commerce integration environment.Experience designing web-based transaction applications.Basic experience with HTML and XML as well as HTML and XML editors.Experience working with a managed care transaction system (e.g. Amisys, Erisco, HSD, CSC, etc.).Experience working with IBM MQSeries, Tibco, MSMQ or similar integration software tools.Experience working with EAI, BPM, and/or BAM technologies.Some programming/systems experience, including SQL-based query construction and database schema proficiency.  Microsoft SQL Server experience preferred.
