Sr. Associate - Health Info Management

Job Description -- Our Health Industries Advisory team is seeking a Senior Associate for our HIM-SMART (Systematic Monitoring and Review Technique) practice. In this role, you will be focused on improving efficiencies in provider payor and medicare relationships by providing consulting and advisory expertise.
As a Senior Associate, some of your responsibilities will include:

- Engaging in case selection and reviewing medical records
- HIM inpatient coding assessment and assistance
- Gathering data from clients for analysis
- Make Recommendations for areas of improvement
- Performing coding evaluations for clients
- Research, development, testing and support of PwC monitoring application SMART
- Maintaining client relationships
- Traveling on site for periodic reviews
- Reviewing work of associate level staff
- Providing guidance and training
- Flexibility to meet deadline
- Utilize Project Management expertise

Job Requirement Essential

Job Qualifications include

- New York State DRG (diagnosis related group) Grouper experience is required.
- RHIA, RHIT, or CCS designation
- 5+ years of progressive inpatient ICD-9-CM coding experience
- Thorough understanding of DRGs, PPS (Perspective Payment Services) regulations and coding compliance
- Strong written and oral communication skills
