Statistical Analyst with Public Health Data Analysis Experience

CDI is seeking aStatistical Analyst with Public Health Data Analysis Experienceto assist on a Statistical Project for a Disease Surveillance Program for a DoD client.  This is a year long contract tat will go to perm for a client in the Columbia, MD area.

 

 

Work with senior epidemiologist and biostatisticians performing data analysis, and interpretation supporting Federal, State, and Local disease surveillance programs.  Participate in writing reports, articles, and prepare tables, charts, and graphs for presentation and publication.

 

Responsibilities

 
Conduct data analysis and interpretation on health indicator and biosurveillance data. 
Interface with public health and health care provisioning organizations
Provide training and guidance to users of disease surveillance systems
Develop memorandums of understanding to share data, develop procedures to provide safeguards to protect medical data.
Prepare and deliver written and verbal reports, and briefs. 
Assist with drafting white papers and proposals.

 

 

Requirements

 
B.S./ B.A. degree in biostatistics, mathematics, epidemiology, or public health.
3-5 years professional experience. 
Thorough working knowledge of public health data analysis principals and techniques.
Established well-developed skills in SAS, STATA and/or SPSS. 
Excellent written and oral communications.
U.S. Citizen ? no impediments in getting a Secret Clearance

 

Desired

 

? Master's degree in public health or biostatistics.

? Experience in medical surveillance and/or bioinformatics.

?  Active Secret Clearance
