Work Plan Coordinator 

This position will be responsible for coordinating all project phases, from planning through implementation, to ensure the successful execution and implementation of IT related projects. The individual will work in partnership with the Project Manager, Business Units, Management and Technology staff members to define project scope and objectives; gather estimates; coordinate and develop detailed work plans, schedules, and status reports.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Main duties include Updating Master Schedule, Work planning, metrics reporting. Ensure project scope and requirements have been adequately defined, coordinate project estimates; create and maintain a project plan that tracks the completion and delivery of all project milestones, including development, quality assurance, documentation, and deployment. Ability to coordinate projects in accordance with the standard system/software development life cycle (SDLC); adhering to and incorporating internal policies and procedures. Ability to coordinate across functional teams as appropriate and as indicated to ensure successful software or application release; quality assurance, technical documentation, technical operations, training, and technical support.Compile and track project issues and concerns, ensure issues are surfaced in sufficient time to react from both a business and technology standpoint. Demonstrate effective problem solving, negotiation and project leadership skills. Proactive monitoring and measurement of project activities to mitigate business and technology risk, coordinate activities to address and resolve identified risks. Conduct project team meetings regularly to assess project status from all project members, and provide timely project status, milestones, and issues to all stakeholders. Ability to manage and mitigate risk associated with a project. Prepare and maintain project schedules and monitor progress to achieve on-time or earlier deliveries. Track and control project costs staying within or under budget. Establish and maintain good communications with all stakeholders on project status, issues and concerns. Maintain good communications with in-house and contract staff, and vendors, regarding all aspects of the project from project inception through to installation and closing. Coordinate efforts of all team members by supplying them the necessary information and ensuring that it is used correctly.Document and resolve any change requests. Plan staff work assignments and schedules and manage work performance.Ensure all documentation relating to projects is utilized and completed. Strong skills in MS Project and MS Excel are required.
