CT licensed optician

Full time CT licensed optician needed for busy 3 MD 1 OD ophthalmology office optical shop in very pleasant surroundings. Individual would be second optician, and would provide that the optical stay open lunchtime and during the other optician's vacation and illnesses. This optician needs to have a strong work ethic, be extremely technically capable, possess a compassionate, pleasant nature and be sales oriented. Our practice is a busy, high quality, caring operation. We have 22 employees, most of whom have been with us 10-28 years. We have a beautiful office, good benefits and other perks. For the right person, there would be a bonus incentive. The optical is almost 2 years old and has the best equipment. The office is in a park like setting and all the interior furnishings and envirnment are in perfect condition. All staff are chosen, first and foremost, for their people orientation and gentle compassion. The present optician is a very nice, competent person who is deeply dedicated to doing a good job, and is easy to get along with.

References and contract are required. Part-time work would be considered, covering lunch to 5PM, 5 days a week. We may consider someone who has worked in the optical field and is working on an apprenticeship now, or has good experience and wants to work toward becoming an optician through an apprenticeship.
