Dispensing Optician

Dispensing Optician ? Immediate opening.

 

Part-time position working as an On-Site Optician/Dispenser and Retail Store (Parmelee Optical) Representative.

 

This would involve traveling on a regular basis to Customer plant locations to provide On-Site dispensing services as well as working in the Parmelee Optical Retail Store helping walk-in customers and employees of local customers.

 

Job Duties would include:

 

Retail Store Optician

 

-  Assist customers with product selection, including frames, lenses, coating, etc.

-  Measure customer for their lenses and frame according to their prescription and fitting requirements.

-  Write up Rx orders and enter orders.

-  Verify finished product prior to dispensing.

-  Contact customers for order pickup.

-  Adjust frame and lens to fit customer, including reshaping frames.

-  Conduct problem solving with orders.

-  Arrange merchandise displays and organize store inventory.

-  Maintain records of customer prescriptions, orders, and payments.

-  Verify a prescription with the examining optometrist or ophthalmologist

 

Dispensing Optician (On-Site Service)

 

-  Perform similar duties, as described above, at Customer plant location.

-  Maintain adequate, reliable transportation to and from Customer sites.

-  Work directly with Customer Safety & Health Manager Representative(s) to enhance customer service and resolve issues.

 

Requirements:

 

Optical dispensing experience (min. 1 year)

Data Entry / Customer Service skills.

Reliable, independent transportation.

Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.

Current U.S. Citizen.

Flexible schedule, early: 6:00am, late: 6:00pm (off-site dispensing)
