Patient Coordinator

The Mount Sinai School of Medicine Department of Ophthalmology is seeking a full-time Patient Coordinator.

Responsible for preparing patients for treatment and assisting physicians during treatment. Job duties include performing preliminary examinations and evaluation of patients with ocular complaints. Gather complete medical and ophthalmic history of patients.

The positions requires experience in visual acuities, manual refractions, Goldman tonometry, dilations, visual fields, taking patient history, contact lens orders, contact lens insertions and removal, repair and adjust spectacles.

We prefer candidates who completed an ophthalmic course or training from an accredited Ophthalmic Technician/Technologist site. We require at least 2 years related work experience.
