 Account Executive - Large Groups

 

Reporting to the Director of Sales, the Account Executive will generate new revenue through business development in the greater Boston territory.  The incumbent will utilize superior relationship building skills for the development of employees, brokers, consultants, and clients (employers). 

 

Responsibilities:

 

? Market development via establishing prospects directly and through consultants with large employers, union groups, managed care plans, third party administrators, and insurance companies and most importantly cultivating and maintaining those relationships.

? Effectively manages prospect activity by prospecting and qualifying own leads, and utilizes tracking system to monitor accounts.

? Establish goals to increase market share and profitability, and develop and execute sales plan

? Assist brokers with presentations at point of sale, educate brokers about product portfolios and obtain competitive market information.

? Contract negotiation

? Supervises RFP's (request for proposals)

 

Requirements:

 

? Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing, or Business preferred

? Minimum 2-5 years of successful experience with medium to large accounts in managed care and health insurance

? Demonstrated experience in generating leads and closing key accounts

? Excellent communication and relationship building skills

? Significant knowledge of managed care industry and market competitors

? Must be able to travel within assigned territory
