Administrative Assistant, Psychiatry

A full-time Administrative Assistant position is currently available at the Mount Sinai Department of Psychiatry Integrated After-Care program (IAC). The IAC is a short-term, three-month resettlement linkage services to severely emotionally disturbed children and adolescents who are ready to be discharged from residential treatment facilities or psychiatric hospitals. The mission of the program is to link clients with services that encourage improved individual function with stabilization to foster a smooth transition from these settings into the community.

 

The Administrative Assistant will utilize knowledge of hospital and agency resources, policy and procedures to create a cooperative effort in order to support and fulfill Integrated After-Care?s mission, client care philosophy and level of service goals.

 

Job Duties Include:

 

1. Organization and Maintenance

? Establish an efficient and effective operating system that fosters the realization of Integrated After-Care?s mission and level of service goals

 

2. Data Collections and Reporting

? Develop and establish a system of data collection and reporting

 

3. Serve as the general reception for the program

? Support the Integrated After-Care?s client care, serves as the liaison between staff, clients and referral agencies

 

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:Associate or Bachelor?s degreeExcellent communication skillsOrganizational skills?attention to detail, ability to develop and maintain tracking systemsComputer skills?facility with word processing, spreadsheets, and emailPreferably with experience working as an Administrative Assistant in a hospital setting
