Administrator (NHA)

We currently have an opportunity for an Administrator  at our Klondike Manor facility located in Louisville, KY.  Harborside Healthcare owns and operates 50+ facilities located throughout the Midwest, New England, Mid-Atlantic, Mid-America and Northeast regions of the United States. 

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

?  Establish and maintain operation of the facility.

?  Direct, coordinate, and supervise all activities.

?  Implement and oversee the facility's Quality Assessment and Quality Improvement Process.

?  Comply with Federal, State and local standards for nursing center operation.

?  Establish an accounting system and financial policies to meet operating cost.

?  Prepare annual budget.

?  Establish personnel policies, including departmental policies and procedures.

?  Maintain good public relations and employee morale.

?  Assist in establishing policies pertaining to total patient care, personnel, medical staff, financial status, public relations, maintenance of building and grounds, etc.

?  Explain policies and procedures to staff, residents, visitors, etc.

?  Select competent personnel to supervise activities of major departments.

?  Meet with department heads, periodically, to discuss departmental problems and possible solutions.

?  Participate in and conduct some parts of orientation and in-service training for personnel.

?  Review and check competence of work force on a regular basis.

?  Keep current on all Medicare/Medicaid laws pertaining to the nursing center operation.

 

Qualifications:

?  Must be a licensed Nursing Home Administrator in good standing and/or meet all applicable federal and state licensure requirements.

?  Currently licensed in the state.

?  Completion of at least two years of undergraduate studies in Nursing Home Administration or related area.

?  Willing to work with various department heads, residents, visitors, and family members.

?  Have sound knowledge of personnel administration, including Federal and State regulations, etc.

?  Possess knowledge of nursing and medical practices/procedures, including laws pertaining to nursing home operation.

?  Must have ability to make independent decisions.

?  Have knowledge of economic conditions and ability to adjust cost of operation to meet community ability to pay for services.

?  Possess ability to interpret financial statements and give monthly reports.

?  Ability to promote public relations.

?  Previous experience in a supervisory capacity.
