Immediate Opening: Alzheimers and Life Enrichment Program Coordinator

Location: The Village of Homewood, Lady Lake, FL
 
The Alzheimers and Life Enrichment Program Coordinator will be in charge of planning and coordinating programs and activities that provide life-enriching activities for all of our residents including the Arbors residents. The Arbors community was designed and created with the idea of serving senior resident with memory enhancement challenges. We are looking for a high energy candidate with a love for seniors. We do prefer candidates with a background in Alzheimers Care. Specific responsibilities include:
 
* Provide training and coaching to Associates in all aspects of the Memory Enhancement and Life Enrichment Program.
* Oversee the implementation of ARCs Life Enrichment and Alzheimers Program guidelines.
* Plan, coordinate and facilitate life-enrichment programs
* Strengthen local community involvement through promotion of volunteerism among members of the community and residents families
* Develop, plan and participate in the daily and weekly Life Enrichment program.
* Implement programs that facilitate socialization among residents

We seek the following qualifications:
 
* Experience with residents with Alzheimers and other dementias in a residential setting is required.
* Experience in program and event planning for older adults with Alzheimers disease preferred.
* Bachelor or Associate degree in therapeutic recreation or related degree preferred.
* Ability to interact and build relationships with older adults.
* Experience working with volunteer groups.
* Strong creativity and organizational skills.
* Demonstrated organizational skills.
* Clean driving record (verified by MVR) and willingness to drive company vehicle and transport residents.
