Authorizations Coordinator

Home Pharmacy of California, a Walgreens Home Care Company, is an outstanding leading JCAHO-accredited home infusion pharmacy serving Southern California.  We are seeking top professionals who are interested in joining one of the fastest growing companies in the home infusion field.

 

Due to our tremendous growth, we are currently seeking an Intake/Authorizations Coordinator for our Corona location.

 

This position receives and processes new and readmit patient referrals, and is responsible for:Coordinating the care of patients with appropriate agencies and maintaining accurate communication of patient care, authorization and billing information Verifying patients' eligibility for benefits and authorization for treatment Negotiating price quotes for services and supplies with agencies and patients Verifying doctors' licenses Working closely with the pharmacist, patient services representative and dispatch/delivery in providing services and supplies to patients

 

The ideal candidate will have:An AA degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school and a minimum of one year of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of both education and experience One year of experience with home infusion, in areas of billing, authorizations, staffing or intake preferred Knowledge of Microsoft Word, the Internet and SCS is a plus

 

The work schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
