Bilingual Patient Services Representative

Individuals in this position represent the health center to the community, answering questions, explaining services, and directing the community to alternative resources as appropriate. They are responsible for scheduling patients, maintaining an accurate patient database and managing the front end

financial transactions including insurance information.


Responsibilities include the following:
Manage the phone lines with courtesy, accuracy and speed
Take accurate messages recognizing and communicating urgent messages
Schedule patient appointments appropriately
Obtain and enter insurance information accurately
Make appropriate referrals to the Health Benefits
Coordinator when patient need is apparent
All other duties as requested

 

Education & Experience:
HS diploma or GED minimum requirement
Bilingual in English and Spanish
EPIC Software experience preferred, but not required


Other Requirements:
Ability to multi-task
Problem solving skills
Strong organizational skills
Ability to lift up to 10 pounds
