Biomedical Program Administrator

The Department of Environmental and Occupational Health (DEOHS) is currently seeking a Biomedical Program Administrator.

The role of the Biomedical Program Administrator is to handle a variety of administrative activities. These activities include assisting with the development of grants, monitoring grant and cost center budgets, and acting as an administrative liaison to other divisions, departments and programs.

Key responsibilities include: Monitoring hospital cost centers and grants for staff and fellows, to include checking actions for accuracy, rectifying errors, and monitoring expenditures. Assisting faculty and research laboratories with electronic ordering and managing multiple grants and/or cost centers. Assisting principal investigators with budgeting for grant submittals and renewals. May coordinate activities related to submittals, renewals, progress reports and site visits.

The ideal candidate will have:

Education: Two years of college required.

Experience: Three years medical office/hospital experience.

- OR - Any equivalent combination of Education or Experience.

Special Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to work with co-workers, researchers, faculty and support staff. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Excellent organizational skills. Demonstrated computer skills utilizing computer hard and software to create spreadsheets and word processing documents. Ability to prioritize, take initiative and seek appropriate supervision. Knowledge of basic accounting practices.
