Business Analyst Advanced

 

With general guidance and coaching, provides analytical support to a specific group of customers on business applications, infrastructure and technology related activities. Acts as a project team member or lead, specifically on requirements definition and testing activities. Provides guidance, assistance, coordination and follow-up on complex problems and ensures resolution. Assists customers on their migration to new or revised products, applications and platforms. Works with application developers and operations personnel to support production applications and customer-specific operations.

- Assist with major production issues/recoveries for non-claims transactions.
- In-depth analysis of Electronic transaction issues (X12 non-claims transactions batch and real-time, 270/271, 276/277, 278, 997, TA1 and 835).
- Develop business requirements, desktop procedures and other documentation.
- Support EDI helpdesk and other areas within BCBSM.
- Represent EDI/BCBSM in meetings, project workgroups and external associations.
- In-depth analysis of reporting changes as they relate to companion documents and specification changes.
- Contact submitters relative to compliance issues with Gentran.
- Create PID's and coordinate resolution.
- Review internal and external publications to evaluate impacts on EDI.

- Interact with internal and external customers.
- Test data creation and test validation.
- Lead project SME representing Electronic Business Interchange Group (e-BIG).
- Support Production.

 

Position requires 3+ years related experience specifically:

 X12 real-time transaction experience required. Experience required in the usage of TSO, JCL, CICS, EOS and MS Office Suite. Highly self-motivated and professional appearance is required. Excellent presentation skills required. Ability to multitask is required. Extensive knowledge of EDI required. Significant creativity is required.
