Fletcher Allen Health Care in scenic Burlington,Vermont is seeking an Adult Cardiac Sonographer.

The candidate should have at least 2 years of experience in adult and stress echo. 

Pediatric experience is a plus, ARDCS is preferred. 

The Cardiac Ultrasound Lab is located in the main hospital with an additional outpatient site. 

There is also a mobile component to this position. 

The position is Monday through Friday all days with evening, nights, holiday and weekends on call

commitments.  The sonographer will work in a very busy lab with cardiac fellows and university based attending physicians. 

Research is an important component of this position and the lab is often involved in national research projects.

Knowledge of cardiac rhythms. In-depth knowledge of cardiac anatomy and physiology.

Knowledge of cardiac pharmacology is preferred.

Must have a functional knowledge of the physical principles of diagnostic ultrasound. 

Must have a good understanding of the clinical indications for cardiac ultrasound 2 years previous experience

in field of Echocardiography preferred. Requires Associate's degree in allied health or related field or an

equivalent combination of education and experience from which knowledge and skills would be acquired. 

Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer or registry eligible.
