Exempla Good Samaritan Medical Center, located in the Boulder County community of Lafayette opened in the fall of 2004 with 144-beds and the potential to expand as the community grows. This new facility, with spacious private rooms and state-of-the-art equipment, will reflect our focus on healing. Your Position

Provide patient care of a technical nature under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Function as a member of the surgical team, and performs scrub duties, which facilitate the work of the surgeon. Meet the needs of the patient and multidisciplinary team through effective communications, coordination, collaboration and documentation.

As an Open Heart CST, you will be required to scrub other types of cases on days without heart cases.

Our Requirements

* High school graduate or GED

* Graduate of a formal, accredited surgical technologist program

* Basic Life Support certification required.

* Certification through CST exam and continued certification through AST participation required, or attainment of certification within 1 year of employment required.

* Two years recent open heart scrub experience required
