Chemist

Local pharmaceutical Company seeking contract analytical chemists physical and chemical testing to support new and reformulated products, assisting in the development and validation of raw material test methods and writing test and validation reports. Candidates with advanced experience in a pharmaceutical laboratory will be involved with the development and validation of methods for raw materials used in ANDA/NDA products and new OTC formulations. The candidate will possess hands-on expertise in raw material testing (including USP RM monograph testing) and physical property elucidation of API and excipients. Analytical techniques including: x-ray diffraction, DSC/TGA, scanning electron microscopy, polarized light microscopy, zeta potential, surface energy analysis, USP surface area (and porosity) via BET, particle size, are strongly preferred.


Required Skills:
Qualifications for these positions include at least a BS in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field. Previous experience in a pharmaceutical analytical testing laboratory highly desired. For consideration for advanced positions, 4+ years experience in a pharmaceutical laboratory, experience using a variety of analytical techniques required. Previous experience working with raw material and ANDA/NDAs highly preferred.
