CLAIMS REPRESENTATIVE


Position Summary: Claim review and analysis; contract review analysis; electronic file retention; preparation of files and appropriate documentation. Claim Representatives work on a team and report directly to a Team Leader.

Principal Duties/Responsibilities:  Responsibilities include Researching contracts and identifying and analyzing claim issues;  making telephone contact with insurance carriers; gathering relevant documentation; generating letters and faxes.

Job Qualifications: candidates should have prior experience in hospital/physician billing and follow-up or experience in the payer industry.  Candidates must have excellent attention to detail; Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, typing ability (min. 40 wpm), stable work history, good customer service skills, and a willingness to learn.

Compensation for different levels is based on experience.
