Clinical Counselor

Southeast Addiction Institute and Learning (SAIL) is an outpatient center for the treatment of Substance Abuse and Chemical Dependency. SAIL offers a multiphase comprehensive Substance Abuse and Dual Diagnosis treatment program.

Clinical Counselor

The successful candidate will participate in the planning, participation and follow-up of a caseload of individuals undergoing treatment for the disease of chemical dependency. This position will facilitate client therapy groups and present didactic/lecture education sessions, as well as implementing individualized treatment plans and conducting individual counseling sessions. Other key responsibilities include:
Group, individual and family counseling
Assist with crisis management
Orient new clients into the program and compile client social history
Coordinate with other agencies in the community
Write daily progress notes, maintain required reports/records, consult with other professionals and case management activities
Plan and present workshops for outside professionals, as well as maintain and enhance personal professional skills through attendance at training events
Maintain compliance on all require standardsREQUIREMENTSMust be LPC and Licensed/Certified as an SA Counselor in the state of North Carolina (CSAC or LCAS or CCS).
Two years experience working with Dual Diagnosis population and Substance Abuse population.
Master?s degree in counseling or related field.
Excellent analysis skills in order to assess client?s strengths, weaknesses and needs in order to formulate/implement and appropriate treatment plan.
Working knowledge of laws, rules and confidentiality regulations regarding chemical dependency and patient rights.
General knowledge of and ability to maintain adequate patient records and correspondence.
