Clinical Nutrition Manager

Our client was founded in 1960. They are privately owned and sales are approximately 400 million. The organization is a leader in the food service industry. They are currently expanding their healthcare division. We are currently searching for a Clinical Nutrition Manager.


Position Overview


The Clinical Nutrition manager plans, schedules, coordinates, and supervises the work operations of the clinical nutrition staff. Primary responsibilities include assigning work to and supervising clinical dietitians and diet office staff; developing standards and monitoring of clinical dietetic performance; reviewing and updating policies and procedures; implementing and maintaining cost control procedures; recruiting, hiring, and orienting staff; interacting with hospital management and professional staff, both intra and interdepartmentally; and maintaining professional competency and skills required for professional practice.


Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities


Minimum education includes be Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition Dietetics from an approved/accredited university or college program.  A Masters Degree is preferred. Comprehensive knowledge and application of nutrition services and medical nutrition therapy is required. The individual must possess the ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal form to patients, public, staff and physicians; ability to plan, organize, and direct the work of others; and ability to organize tasks and work independently. Proven ability in meeting and maintaining budget goals is necessary.  Required licensure and certification includes a title of “Registered Dietitian (RD) from the Commission on Dietetic Registration or RD – eligible (RDE), with the intent of receiving the RD title within the specified timeframe.  Dietitians from the state of Ohio are also required to maintain a license in addition to the registration.  Both the registration and licensure are required to practice dietetics at all times.  Minimum of 3 years experience as a clinical dietitian required.  A minimum of one year supervisory experience preferred.
