Collections Account Representative III

?Anesthesiologists Associated, Inc. (AAI) provides expert anesthesia billing, collection and practice management services for large anesthesia physician groups and individual practitioners alike. AAI was formed in 1960, and is owned and operated solely for anesthesiologists. We have four regional offices located in Beaverton, Oregon; Spokane, Washington; Walnut Creek, California; and Tarzana, California, as well as our corporate office, also located in Beaverton, Oregon. This position will be based in our Walnut Creek office.

AAI is seeking an Account Representative III that will have responsibilities of collecting outstanding balances due from insurance, conduct follow-up with insurance companies on denied and rejected claims, and follow-up on non-payment of claims. This position will be responsible for processing mail received from physicians, insurance companies and patients regarding outstanding accounts, and will initiate adjustments and refunds.

We are looking for a qualified candidate that possesses a minimum of 3-4 years of experience in a physician billing office or medical insurance environment.? Qualified candidates must possess a strong working knowledge of generally accepted collection procedures and insurance reimbursement practices, in-depth understanding and use of compliance and collection resources.? Candidates must also be able to communicate effectively in writing, verbally and through email.
