TeamHealth offers medical collections services to both hospitals based physicians and physician groups for debt owed for physician provided services.  We do this through IMBS Collections, our in-house collection agency.

 

IMBS currently has openings for Collector positions.

 

The Collection Representative I is responsible for communicating with debtors and following through on the collection of Patient Responsible and Self-Pay placements.  Must strictly and cautiously adhere to the FDCPA.

 

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

 Process debtor calls within the departmental guidelines.Utilize the departments systems to maintain an accurate call and activity history.Negotiate budget payments plans/settlements within department guidelines.Accurately enter transactions in computerized system to maintain and track debtor records.

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

 Excellent verbal and phone communication skillsBasic data entry capabilityMinimum of 6 months working in a call center or customer service operation preferredMore than 1 year of experience in a medical office providing billing/collection services preferred.
