Job Summary:

 

Develops and implements a strategic communication plan for the Provider Relations department.  Determines best methods for designing communications and the appropriate vehicles for communication that improve the servicing of providers enhancing provider knowledge and satisfaction.  Creates clear communications of often complex issues to providers and their office staff.

 

Essential Functions:

?  Collaborates with VP, Operations Compliance and regional management team on the planning development and implementation of a regional specific provider communication strategy.

?  Oversees and leads all written communications to include provider manuals, newsletters and mailings.

?  Assumes business ownership over the development and maintenance of the provider web page.

?  Plans, creates and coordinates the production of provider communication collaterals and campaigns that promote provider satisfaction and knowledge of WellCare.

Supervision Received/Exercised:

Oversight through examination of fiscal and operational results.

 

Scope of Decisions:Decisions require considerable judgment in the analysis of problems that affect the department.Has significant input into policy and latitude to make decisions for the area. Scope is both corporate and area-focused. Responsibilities are complex and results may have long-range implications.

 

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Required:

 

Education/Experience: (include any licenses or certifications required)Bachelors degree or equivalent directly related experience 5+ years of progressively responsible experience In-depth functional knowledge and broad multi-functional knowledge

Computer Skills:Excellent knowledge of email systems such a Microsoft Outlook sufficient to communicate with both internal and external contacts.Excellent knowledge of Word and/or Excel sufficient to enter data, copy or cut and paste data and print results as required.Knowledge of project planning software sufficient to document project steps and report progress.

 

Working Conditions:Normal working conditions commonly found in an office environmentClimate controlled office environment during normal working hours.  Ability to travel by automobile, plane or other public transportation as necessary.
