Job Descriptions:

As the Marketing Advisor II you will be responsible for the following duties:
1. Strategically identifies and manages relevant sources for researching orthopedic-related inquiries into markets and products.
2. Supports the marketing organization by researching, recommending, and assisting in the evaluation of new business opportunities.Assist with updates information on competitor products, prices and new activities.
3. Provides support for the annual strategic marketing plan.
4. Manages expenses of their area of responsibility.
5. Helps define both new products and product improvement.
6. Provides direction, motivation and evaluation of subordinates and groom them for increased responsibility, as applicable.
7. Manage the preparation and analysis of primary research activities within the division.Assist with sales progress on a country by country and a product line basis (fully trained in Oracle).
8. Assist with product life cycles and identifies products for possible phase-out.
9. Assist with procedure analysis information.
10. Helps to identify market trends and new technologies.
11. Contribute to literature & technical papers research.
12. Completes competitive gap analysis.
13. Assists in original market research activities e.g. focus groups.
14. Contributes to organizing test markets for products and concepts.
15. Develops and ensures the issuance of updated market information regularly to cover S&N global and regional market shares for all major Orthopaedic product groups.
16. Analysis of product forecasts for new products and monitors ongoing product forecasts.
17. Ensures a high standard that reflects a company that wishes to be ?First Choice? for the orthopaedic community.

>Requires standing/walking (40% of time). Extensive travel (30-40%). Requires ability to lift samples cases/displays - weighs up to 70 pounds. (5 - 10% of time). Requires hand, arm, and visual to operate personal computer, CRT computers. In audio, visual presentations must be able to stand and present slide presentations and conduct hands on workshops. Must be able to provide verbal direction for workshops, in surgery, and telephonically . Visual-CRT, computer operations, review ads.

>You must have:

>Bachelors degree with major in marketing or related business area. Master?s degree in Business Administration or related area is preferred

>In lieu of a degree, the requirement is ten (10) years' related experience.>

Required Skills:

>Requires proficiency in financial modeling, statistical analysis, forecasting and market research analysis techniques.
>Requires demonstrated ability to identify and effectively analyze relevant market data and sources.
>Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills; presentation skills; must be able to demonstrate analytical ability.
>Requires PC applications skills to include proficiency in various software such as spreadsheets, databases, and word-processing. (Preferably MS Word, Excel, MS Outlook, Internet Explorer, etc.)
