Responsible for the identification and negotiation of contracts with hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, physicians and ancillary providers in geographically diverse areas for existing and developing provider networks. Assesses provider needs, coordinates contract documentation, and interfaces with MCA, Claims, IMCS, Care Management, and other departments, as necessary, to ensure proper administration of the contracts.
Assesses and completes provider contracting needs for all provider operations.
Negotiates and implements hospital, skilled nursing facilities, physician, and ancillary contracts in geographically diverse areas for existing and developing provider networks, including preparation of supporting documentation.
Coordinates the completion of pre-contractual activities as they relate to provider contracting, such as submission of relevant provider contract documentation, completion of RFP and application information, financial analysis, RAT discussions, credentialing, etc.
Prepares and/or coordinates financial and utilization analyses to develop recommendations for compensation methodologies and amounts.
Cultivates positive working relationships with network Medical Directors and other administrative personnel.
Develops and maintains clients relationships to ensure on-going client satisfaction.
Assists in the on-going analysis of contracting needs, including assessment of claims and utilization data to identify areas for new and re-negotiated contracts.
Special projects, as assigned by supervisor.
A high school diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent.
One or two years of post-high school education or degree from a two-year college.
Over 1 year and up to and including 3 years of experience.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Spreadsheet and word processing experience.
Ability to work independently required.
