Ephrata Community Hospital is a non-profit health services organization providing preventative services, primary care, diagnostic services, acute care, and rehabilitation services to the residents of Northern Lancaster County and surrounding communities. ECH is licensed to accommodate 138 patients in our acute care facility.  In addition, the organization consists of a  17 practice medical group, home care, durable medical equipment, and 7 outpatient centers for health.

Corporate Compliance Officer

 

 

Position Summary:

 

To assist in providing oversight to the Corporate Compliance Program, functioning as an objective reviewer and evaluator of compliance issues/concerns in conjunction with the Corporate regulatory compliance for services billed by the organization. The Compliance Officer remains current of regulatory requirements and compliance issues, provides timely regulatory updates to staff, performs/coordinates ongoing monitoring of all areas of compliance, and acts decisively on issues of potential non-compliance.

 

Qualifications:

 Bachelor's Degree in health care, legal, finance or related field.5 years experience in health care organization, in roles of increasing leadership responsibility in areas of compliance management, legal services, regulatory agencies, audit, or related fields.Compliance certification preferred.Must have in depth knowledge of Medicare and third party payor coding and billing regulations, CPT-4/HCPCs and ICD-9-CM coding, medical terminology, and advanced computer skills. Experience in clinical areas of health care helpful.
