DIRECTOR RADIOLOGY SERVICES (INVASIVE)

Job Description:JOB SUMMARY
The director of Endovascular Radiology has responsibility and accountability for the daily operations of highly specialized Endovascular Radiology services. The director manages the staff who provide diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in accordance with accepted ethical and professional practices and all legal and regulatory requirement. The director manages activities related to operations, finance, materials management, human resources, project development, design and construction. Oversees multimillion dollar operating and capital equipment budget.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Assigns and directs activities of Endovascular Radiology, Endovascular AOD and PACU, and staff.

2. Develops and administers a multi-million dollar operating and capital equipment budget in conjunction with management within the framework of departmental and hospital goals.

3. Implements hospital policies according to guidelines as they pertain to Endovascular Radiology services.

4. Develops and maintains procedure manuals according to standards established by accrediting and licensing policies.


5. Coordinates on-going monitoring, assessment and improvement of quality of care and services provided by the department.

6. Responsible for recruitment and selection of Endovascular Radiology personnel.

7. Evaluates personnel in performance of their duties, including merit reviews, counseling and disciplinary actions.

8. Provides liaison consultation to other services and disciplines.

9. Responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and repair of departmental equipment to ensure the provision of quality patient care, as well as to provide state of the art technology.

10. Holds a leadership role in a professional organization, commission or other major professional group

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing, MSN/MBA in Business Administration or related field.Experience:EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Six to eight years of progressively responsible experience in the function, two of which must have involved managerial responsibility.

Current license to practice as an RN in the State of Texas
