Data Entry Specialist
Above all other duties, this person will be responsible for alpha and numeric data entry of charges, payments, and adjustments into an AS/400 database. Other duties include Medicare and Medi-Cal electronic submission, Macintosh hospital data capture, and processing of statements, insurance forms, tracers, labels, pre-collect letters, final notices, and must be able to balance batches and problem solve.
A minimum 1-year data entry experience in the healthcare environment is required. This position requires a high rate of speed and accuracy using a keyboard and 10 key adding machine. Typing and data entry skills will be tested. Must have the ability to interpret an EOB. Basic computer and math skills are required. Data entry experience using the AS/400 and MED/FM software package is a big plus. Macintosh experience is also a plus.
